Dental Implants in Hinsdale, IL

A partial denture or a dental bridge can replace missing teeth, but nothing is as effective as dental implants. They look, feel, and function better than any other form of tooth replacement. They can even be used to stabilize dentures. Quality dental implants can last a lifetime.

Dr. Michael Morgan has received advanced training in implant dentistry from The Misch International Implant Institute and the WhiteCap Institute. He is also a member of the International College of Oral Implantologists—the world’s largest dental implant organization that also promotes the highest standards of patient care. When you turn to him for your dental implants, you can rest assured you are in good hands and will get the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted without worrying about gaps or spaces between your teeth.

How Do Dental Implants Work?

An implant mimics a natural tooth. It has a root form, usually made of titanium, that is surgically implanted in your jawbone. In two to six months, your jawbone will fuse to the implant. A dental crown is secured to the top of the implant. Dr. Morgan performs both the implant surgery and the crown placement. His advanced training in cosmetic dentistry helps him produce lifelike porcelain crowns. Your dental implant will look like your own natural tooth.

Preserve jawbone

A missing tooth leaves an empty space. Without tooth roots to stimulate the jawbone, the bone begins to shrink. When all of your teeth are missing, your entire jawbone begins to shrink, your facial muscles lack support, and your face will sag. Similar to a natural tooth root, implants stimulate the jawbone, and prevent shrinkage and facial collapse.

Replace one or more missing teeth

A dental implant can replace a single tooth or multiple missing teeth. It looks completely natural and lasts longer than a partial denture or a dental bridge. Partial dentures are clasped onto adjacent teeth to keep them in place. This can put stress on teeth and become uncomfortable. A dental bridge requires preparation to the tooth on either side of the missing one. When you receive an implant, other teeth are not used to support or stabilize it.

Implant-supported Dentures

When all of your teeth are missing, implant-supported dentures from Dr. Morgan address so many of the concerns people have about wearing dentures. This can be a great option to help ensure your dentures stay in place, as well as to maintain the integrity of the bone structure of your jaw.

LOOK

The dentures themselves will look completely natural. Dr. Morgan’s artistic approach and training in cosmetic dentistry help you receive dentures that complement your facial features and look like your natural smile.

FUNCTION

Implants give dentures stability. You won’t have to worry about them slipping around or falling out and embarrassing you. Implant-supported dentures make speaking and eating easy and enjoyable.

FEEL

Your dentures will be secured to dental implants. They will feel more like your natural teeth than they could otherwise. They will also be much more comfortable to wear than complete removable dentures.

High-Quality Implant Placement

Dental implants can last a lifetime, but they require careful planning and placement. Some dentists take shortcuts to provide cheap dental implants. Substandard implant fixtures may be used, and only general x-rays may be taken instead of advanced diagnostic studies. Improper placement can puncture sinus cavities, harm other facial structures, or damage nerves. Pain, numbness, tingling, and infection can result.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Right candidate for Implants

Dr. Morgan will first determine if you are a candidate for this treatment. Your medical history will be carefully reviewed. 3-D images are taken to provide a clear view of your jawbone, facial structure, sinus cavities, and nerves. The imaging studies aid in the precise placement of high-quality implant fixtures.

Each step of the process is completed in our office by Dr. Morgan—planning, implant surgery, and crown placement. This eliminates the time and expense of going to an oral surgeon for diagnostic studies and implant surgery. We understand how important your smile is to you and will meet with you to determine whether you are a good candidate for the procedure. Once you are approved, we can move ahead with the process. In no time, you will be smiling with pride.

If you are interested in this treatment, schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation. All about All on 4

The “All On 4” dental implant treatment involves surgically placing four implants. The implants support a fixed set of porcelain teeth to maintain your jaw’s structural integrity. The four implants integrate with the jaw to mimic the pressure placed on it by your natural teeth.
The name “All On” comes from the fact that the set of porcelain teeth is anchored directly on the four implants rather than needing an implant for each missing tooth. Someone who was previously unable to afford to replace an entire mouth of missing teeth can now restore their smile at a fraction of the cost. It sounds too good to be accurate, but we’ve helped hundreds of patients do just that, thanks to this innovative treatment.
